SARAJEVO, March 16 (FENA) - Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Adil Osmanović and the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to BiH Jakub Skalník signed today in Sarajevo an Agreement on Cultural, Educational and Scientific Cooperation between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Czech Republic.

Mr. Osmanović emphasized that by signing this agreement, a legal framework for cooperation between the two countries in different segments of culture is created, through participation in cultural and art events and book fairs, exchange of art exhibitions and cultural experts, as well as  cooperation and exchange of documents and experiences in the field of music and choreography, organization and management of museums, restoration and conservation of monuments, traditional folk culture, librarianship, translation, publishing and theater.

He emphasizes that the Agreement will also improve cooperation in the field of education through the establishment of links between educational institutions, exchange of professors, students, publications and information on aspects of educational work and systems, as well as through organizing and participating in conferences on topics of common interest.

He expressed his conviction that this Agreement, the conclusion of which is a logical sequence of long-standing friendly ties and relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Czech Republic, will be successfully applied and give impetus to future creativity in all areas.

Mr. Skalník stressed that the relations between the two countries are at an exceptional level and that the signing of the Agreement proves this.

He recalled that friendship between BiH and the Czech Republic has historical roots and that currently there are several thousand citizens of BiH origins in the Czech Republic who greatly contribute to the country's success.

He is convinced that the implementation of the Agreement would lead to a further deepening of cooperation between the institutions of the two countries, as well as an increase in the number of artists, students and scholars who will jointly conduct research in both countries.
