BiH Court - Indictment confirmed in the Nenad Perović case

SARAJEVO, March 14 (FENA) - On 19 February 2018, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the Indictment charging the accused Nenad Perović with the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)a) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BiH Court stated.

The Indictment charges the accused that between late May 1992 and late 1993, during a widespread and systematic attack launched by the Army of the Serb Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Rogatica police, supported by para-military formations coming from Serbia, aimed against the Bosniak civilian population in the territory of Rogatica municipality, as a member of the Army of Republika Srpska – VP 7084 Rogatica, knowing of the attack and that his actions constitute part of the attack, he participated in the persecution of the Bosniak civilian population in the Rogatica territory on ethnic and religious grounds in relation to helping another soldier to force another person, by the use of force or by direct attack on her life or body, to sexual intercourse (rape), and by participating in any other form of serious sexual violence.
