BiH Presidency adopts Foreign Policy Strategy for the period 2018-2023

SARAJEVO, March 13 (FENA) - The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted, at today's session, the Strategy of Foreign Policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2018-2023.

The BiH Presidency has received the information on the draft Law on Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH to refer the draft law into the legislative procedure, stated the BiH Presidency.

The BiH Presidency accepted the invitation of the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Gjorge Ivanov, to participate in the meeting of Brdo-Brijuni Process leaders in Skopje on April 27 and 28, 2018.

The BiH delegation will be led by the Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegović.

The BiH Presidency will invite the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, to pay an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The BiH Presidency adopted a Decision on the acceptance of the Protocol of the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of Romania on the succession of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s bilateral agreements concluded between the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia/the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the People's Republic of Romania / the Socialist Republic of Romania at the state and government level.

The BiH Presidency adopted a Decision to initiate the procedure for conducting negotiations in order to conclude an Agreement on Economic Cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Korea.

The BiH Presidency adopted a Decision on accession to Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Amendments of the Convention on the Protection of the Marine Environment and the Coastal Areas of the Mediterranean – the Barcelona Convention.

The Presidency also reached decisions on ratification of the Loan Agreement (Banking Strengthening Project) between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development; Agreement on Financing of the State Program of Activities for Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2016, between the European Union, represented by the European Commission, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, represented by the Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of BiH; and the Note to the Agreement on the Grant of Equipment for Security Checks between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the People's Republic of China.
