FBiH Employers' Association announces criminal complaint against ITA directors

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, March 13 (FENA) - The Employers’ Association of the Federation of BiH (FBiH EA) decided today at the Managing Board session that it will most likely prepare a criminal complaint against all members of the BiH Indirect Taxation Authority Steering Board and all the directors of that institution to date.

The reason for the criminal complaint, as they pointed out, is the damage caused to the budgets and employers due of their inaction because there is no possibility of collecting VAT from foreign transporters when they drive in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while domestic ones have to pay.

The FBiH EA Director, Mladen Pandurević, said that there were still many gaps related to the VAT rules and the method of VAT calculation, which is why domestic transporters are being taxed twice.

He emphasized that a special problem was the non-signing of the double taxation agreement with Croatia, which is why in 10 years they failed to make a return of more than 120 million KM from that country.
