TUZLA, March 12 (FENA) - Construction works on the expansion of the passenger terminal of the Tuzla International Airport should be completed by mid-May, stated the General Manager of the Airport Rifet Karasalihović during today's visit of the Minister of Trade, Tourism and Transport in the Government of the Tuzla Canton Mirsad Gluhić.
Karasalihović presented the dynamic of the reconstruction of the passenger terminal, as well as the project of building an atrium and the premises which will house travel agencies, rent-a-car companies and souvenir shops.
Due to unfavorable weather conditions and low temperatures, some of the works have been delayed, said the airport manager, announcing that all works should be completed by the end of May.
In January 2018, the Tuzla International Airport had 40,563 passengers, 52.81 percent more than in the same period last year, and in February the airports serviced 35,976 passengers, which is 55.70 percent more than in February 2017.
