SARAJEVO, March 12 (FENA) - A member of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly (BiH PA) in the Parliamentary Assembly of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP PA) Momčilo Novaković participated in the meeting of the SEECP PA General Committee on Economy, Infrastructure and Energy in Istanbul.
During the two-day meeting, parliamentarians from SEECP member states discussed and adopted the Report and the Resolution on the possibilities of economic cooperation of the countries of South-Eastern Europe.
In the adopted Resolution, the governments of the SEECP member states are encouraged to strengthen the process of implementation of joint projects in the areas of energy, transport and tourism, and to adopt the necessary legal regulations that facilitate joint economic activities in the region. It is also recommended that they improve communication with EU institutions, as well as to initiate discussions on a possible increase in the number of free trade agreements between SEECP member countries. In this regard, parliamentarians in the Resolution supported the possibility of organizing an international conference dedicated to the global economic challenges and opportunities for economic growth and development in SEECP member countries.
The text of the Report and the Resolution on the possibilities of economic cooperation of the countries of South-Eastern Europe will be discussed and confirmed at the plenary session of the SEECP PA, which will be held in Ljubljana on April 13 and 14, under the Slovenian Chairmanship of this regional initiative, stated the BiH PA PR Department.
