SARAJEVO, March 9 (FENA) - The Sarajevo Canton Tourist Association Director Faruk Čaluk confirmed that at the leading Travel Trade Fair held in Berlin there was a great interest for Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina of all those who love to travel.
“Some of the visitors of the stand have been with us before, but they want to learn even more, while for others, our capital, our country, is a mysterious adventure they would like to experience. We are doing our best to persist in our intentions by transforming the riches represented in natural beauty, cultural and historical monuments, tradition, culture ... into a popular European tourist brand,” said Mr. Čaluk.
As the leading Travel Trade Fair, ITB Berlin is the most important business platform for global tourist offers.
“There is a steady increase in the number of tourists in BiH, which is also due to the country's intensified promotion, but also to the tourism sector's awareness of the importance of profiling tourism as a serious business branch in BiH. In this process, the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Association was founded a year ago, thanks to which several cantonal tourist organizations have recently joined together to represent BiH's tourism potential at travel fairs around the world,” the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Association stated.
