SARAJEVO, 7 March (FENA) - Raisu-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein ef. Kavazović met on Wednesday with the delegation of the Austrian Bishops’ Conference and Bishops’ Conference of BiH.
The delegation was led by Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, the Chairman of the Austrian Bishops’ Conference and Archbishop of Vienna, and Cardinal Vinko Puljić, Chairman of the Bishops’ Conference of BiH and Archbishop of Vrhbosna.
In a warm atmosphere, they discussed the inter-religious dialogue in BiH and the Republic of Austria and the cooperation of the IC in BiH and the Catholic Church.
Cardinal Puljić highlighted after the meeting the good institutional cooperation with the Islamic Community in BiH, and Cardinal Schönborn emphasized that the Bosnians and Herzegovinians represented the model of integration in the Republic of Austria.
Rais Kavazović expressed his satisfaction that the meeting had happened and expressed his hope that similar meetings will be organized in the future in order to strengthen cooperation between the two religious communities.
Rais Kavazović also expressed hope that bishops would use their influence to present a true picture of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, thus helping its EU integration, MINA reports.
