SARAJEVO, February 22 (FENA) - Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak and his Austrian counterpart Karin Kneissl met in Sarajevo today afternoon.
Ms. Kneissl said the relations between the two countries were very close and that her country was currently the number one investor in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ms. Kneissl, who is also the Minister for Europe and Integration, emphasized very close ties between the people of the two countries and the fact that about 160,000 people originating from Bosnia and Herzegovina live in Austria.
She conveyed the strong support of Austria to the European perspective of BiH, which will be particularly pronounced, she said, during her country's presidency of the Council of Europe.
Minister Igor Crnadak assessed today's meeting as the beginning of an even better cooperation in already excellent bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Austria.
Mr. Crnadak said that during the meeting he presented the current political situation in BiH and the completion of the responses to the European Commission Questionnaire, which will soon be forwarded to European officials.
