DKPTBiH increases security measures at US diplomatic missions and consular posts

SARAJEVO, February 22 (FENA) - Security measures in Bosnia and Herzegovina have been raised to a higher level after a bomb was thrown at the US Embassy in Podgorica.

“The Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH (DKPTBiH), having learned that a bomb was thrown at the US Embassy in Montenegro last night, in accordance with its legal competences has increased security measures at diplomatic and consular missions of the United States of America in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the Directorate confirmed to FENA.

At the same time, the officials of the United States Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina refused to comment on the security measures taken in this regard.

“Our policy is not to comment on the security measures we take,” the PR Office of the US Embassy to BiH told FENA.
