SARAJEVO, February 22 (FENA) - Chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH (BiH PA) Ognjen Tadić, his deputy Safet Softić and Deputy Chair of the House of Representative of BiH PA Šefik Džaferović met in Sarajevo today with delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, led by Head of a Working Group for Parliamentary Cooperation between Azerbaijan and BiH in Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan Chingiz Ganizade.
Stressing that relations between the two states are on a very high level, officials of both houses of BiH PA once again confirmed that BiH respects sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, which was confirmed in 2013, when BiH PA adopted a Resolution on appreciation and support to sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It was emphasized that cooperation needs to continue developing in economic sector, having in mind investment projects from Azerbaijan in Doboj and Srebrenica, which was being implemented and announcements of new investments from Azerbaijan in economy of BiH.
Announcement that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will visit BiH this year was welcomed, which is a strong encouragement for further enhancement of political and economic relations between the two friendly states, PR Office of BiH PA stated.
