Indictment filed in the case codenamed 'Rover' for cross-border drugs smuggling

SARAJEVO, February 22 (FENA) - The Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment against Srebrenko Balavac, born in 1962 in Stolac, Smaila Balavac, born in 1966 in Mostar and Nikola Kristić, born in 1964 in Ljubuški.

The accused are charged that in 2017, as part of a group organized by the accused Srebrenko Balavac, participated in the smuggling and further sale in the illicit drugs market in BiH, of large quantities of narcotic drug marijuana - "skunk", which they purchased from individuals from Montenegro, and then smuggled them into the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and repackaged and further distributed the drugs on the territory of Mostar, and throughout BiH.

The accused are charged with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs.

The indictment has been forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation, stated the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
