BiH Presidency Member Izetbegović meets with US Ambassador Maureen Cormack

SARAJEVO, February 21 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Member Bakir Izetbegović received the US Ambassador to BiH Maureen Cormack, the BiH Presidency said.

The collocutors exchanged views on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a special focus on the implementation of reforms and the process of Euro-Atlantic integrations of BiH.

Mr. Izetbegović assessed that the submission of the Questionnaire responses to European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker at the end of this month will be an encouragement to everyone in Bosnia and Herzegovina that in the coming period the conditions for EU membership are fulfilled faster and more efficiently.

Mr. Izetbegović thanked Ambassador Cormack for the strong support of the United States of America to Bosnia and Herzegovina in meeting the conditions for EU membership, as well as in the process of activating the MAP.

They also discussed the amendments to the Election Law regarding the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, where Mr. Izetbegović emphasized that a solution acceptable to all parliamentary parties needed to be reached.
