SARAJEVO, February 20 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Chairman Dragan Čović and BiH Presidency Member Bakir Izetbegović received today a delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Croatian Parliament.
At the beginning of the meeting, the collocutors emphasized the importance of the development of good neighborly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, with mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields of common interest. They assessed that institutional cooperation and intensity of visits were high and that open bilateral issues needed to be addressed through dialogue, in the spirit of friendship and good neighborly relations.
Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Miro Kovač pointed out that Croatia would continue to provide support and assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina on the path of Euro-Atlantic integration, and expressed the hope that the two countries would continue to build honest, friendly and good neighborly relations between them.
They stressed the necessity of dynamization of the process of EU integration of BiH in accordance with the newly adopted Strategy on the credible enlargement perspective for and enhanced EU engagement with the Western Balkans, stressing the necessity of taking the next steps towards the implementation of necessary reforms and fulfillment of requirements for candidate status.
BiH Presidency Chairman Dragan Čović and BiH Presidency Member Bakir Izetbegović expressed their satisfaction with the fact that BiH had friends in the EU such as Croatia, which sincerely advocates the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of EU accession.
On behalf of the BiH Presidency Member Mladen Ivanić, the meeting was attended by counselor Marija Milić, stated the BiH Presidency.
