SARAJEVO, February 20 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Borjana Krišto (HDZ), said that she would not accept any proposals for amendments to the Election Law that do not ensure a legitimate election of political representatives in legislative and executive authorities, while every other proposal, which puts constitutive peoples in an equitable position, regardless of whether the amendment of the Constitution or the Election Law is in question, is acceptable.
Ms. Krišto told journalists today that no technical changes to the Election Law were acceptable to her and her colleagues in the Collegium before doing what is necessary, which are the amendments that apply to the City of Mostar, the election of members of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH and BiH Presidency.
She reiterated that if a solution is to be found on the basis of the principles and norms of the Constitutional Court's decisions, a solution to the Election Law can very quickly be reached.
“If someone wants to look at BiH differently and if they want to keep the domination of one people over another, and if someone wants to elect political representatives for another people, then it is certainly not possible to reach a solution,” she concluded.
