MOSTAR, Feb 20 (FENA) - The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton(HNC) Rasid Hadzovic signed on Tuesday the Collective Agreement on Secondary Education for the region of the Canton.
Besides Minister Hadzovic, the Collective Agreement was signed by the President of the Trade Union of Secondary and Higher Education of the HNC Edina Comic and President of the Trade Union of Secondary Schools in the HNC, Josip Milic.
The signing is the result of the dialogue between the representatives of the Trade Unions, the relevant Ministry and the willingness of the HNC Government to accept the reached agreement, which solves key issues in secondary school education for the satisfaction of all concerned, it was pointed out on the occasion.
The Agreement provides for a number of improvements for the employees, and clearly defines the relationship between employees and employers.
On the occasion, Minister Hadzovic recalled that the talks on the new Collective Agreement had started a year ago.
According to Edina Comic’s words, the Collective Agreement was signed for a period of one year to allow for quick corrections or new provisions to be incorporated in the Agreement in the case of a need to do so.
Josip Milic pointed out that it was the first collective agreement signed without strikes, i.e. it was the result of a dialog between the Government and Trade Union .
Prime Minister of HNC, Nevenko Herceg, pointed out that dialogue had no alternative, expressing hope that they will be also successful when it comes to demands of other trade unions. He announced that negotiations with the unions of primary education and health care institutions would start soon.
