DOHA/SARAJEVO, February 20 (FENA) – Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić met in Doha today with Executive Director of Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) Abdullah bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Thani and discussed investment potential and future activities of QIA in BiH.
Zvizdić informed president of QIA about current economic and political situation in BiH. He emphasized that the Council of Ministers of BiH has clear priorities directed to reform processes, economic development and the European path of the country.
He added that BiH is working on improving its business environment, it records constant economic progress and it is open to business people and business projects. He emphasized BiH is interested and ready to increase the volume of exchange with Qatar, as well as investment level. Zvizdić emphasized advantages of BiH, which has enormous potential in areas of energy, agriculture, tourism, metal, wood industry, as well as numerous infrastructural projects for which we need partners.
Chairman of BiH CoM and Executive Director of QIA agreed it would be good for QIA to open a regional representation in BiH. Zvizdić said it would be a positive step in economic relations between the two countries and it would encourage business people and companies from Qatar to look for partners and do business in BiH and the region.
Executive Director of QIA said that the delegation of QIA expects led by Director for Development and Investments Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al Thani will visit BiH soon.
Meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović, Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH Ismir Jusko and Ambassador of BiH in the State of Qatar Tarik Sadović, BiH CoM stated.
