SDP urges investigation of threatening message left at the Serbian Embassy

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, February 16 (FENA) - Cantonal Committee of Social Democratic Party (SDP) of Bosnia and Herzegovina has strongly condemned the yesterday's event when a poster containing threatening content and hate speech was found on the fence of the Serbian Embassy in Sarajevo.

In a statement, they urge the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs to conduct investigative procedures in the shortest possible time and detect the perpetrators of this act because it damages the reputation of Sarajevo as a tolerant, open, pluralistic community.

"In the most difficult days of the war siege and the starvation of the city, the citizens of Sarajevo retained their dignity and pluralistic worldview. They did not allow themselves to be blinded by revanchism and radicalism at the time, and they will certainly not allow it today," said SDP.

The SDP Cantonal Committee expressed their belief that the citizens of Sarajevo will continue to be an example of the preservation of BiH's statehood, pluralistic spirit and open society.
